A Message From the President...

Hello and welcome from The President of the Launceston Musical Society (LMS).

Whether you are a member touching base with current activities or a visitor to our site - welcome.  The LMS is is an inclusive Society that aims to produce at least one full scale musical Production annually. We pride ourselves in the fact that all roles are always awarded on an audition basis.

We like to to present popular, innovative and progressive material to Northern Tasmanian audiences.

Under our banner we have a great choir - Vox Harmony,  that has the honour of being the official City of Launceston Choir.  Vox Harmony is an audition based choir that practices weekly and performs regularly throughout the year and raise money for local charities.

We encourage new talent by annually presenting The Judy Yates Award, presenting a prize at the Launceston Competitions and supporting other local theatrical endeavours.

I am proud to be President of a Society that has survived and flourished in our local community for in excess of 30 years.

We meet on the third Friday of the month at the Best Western Tram Bar  in conjunction with The Launceston Players for drinks. All are welcome.  It is a great way to connect with the local Theatre Community.

Yours in Theatre, Gina McKenzie.
